Sunstone Mat System

Sunstone Mat System. SunStone Mat is designed for use under stone and ceramic tiles. The wire is fixed to a glass fibre mesh and is the ideal solution for regular shaped rooms. The mesh (but not the wire), can be cut to fit the shape of the room.
The Mat System will provide even distribution of heat and is easier/faster to lay than loose wire. The Mat System is suitable for large or regular shaped rooms.
The SunStone 200W/m2 mat system is ideal for rooms with high heat loss such as conservatories and in most cases when installed in rooms with good insulation levels, fast heat-up times and heat retention can be achieved.

Insulation Boards

Using insulation boards in conjunction with SunStone underfloor heating can significantly reduce the running costs of your heating. Insulation boards reduce the amount of heat loss downwards.
Heat up time (for the heated floor to reach the desired temperature) can be cut from as much as 2.5 hours to just 20 minutes – the thicker the insulation, the quicker the heat-up time.
SunStone insulation boards meet British Standards for tiling and are available in either 6mm,10mm & 20mm cement coated (recommended as best solution) or 10mm & 20mm uncoated. Building Regulations require homes to be properly insulated and should be referred to when determining the thickness required.
